Draft Audit of Inequalities Action Plan 2026-2031

Overview

The draft Audit of Inequalities Action Plan for the period 2026-2031 sets out how we will continue to meet our statutory duties under Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.

Section 75 places a statutory obligation on Public Authorities to have due regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity in respect of religious belief, marital status, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability, race, dependants and political opinion. It also requires regard to the desirability of promoting good relations between people of different religious belief, political opinion and racial group

The Audit of Inequalities Report provides a strategic overview of the inequalities relevant to the Assembly Commission's functions and identifies areas for improvement. The Audit of Inequalities Action Plan sets out practical measures to address inequalities.
