Clause 12 - Payments to electricity suppliers
Clause 12 allows the Department to make regulations so as to require the counterparty to make payments to electricity suppliers in certain circumstances including where sums held by the counterparty exceed a certain amount. The clause allows the Department to make regulations which would impose conditions on electricity suppliers so as to ensure that customers receive a specified benefit from the payment.
