Clause 6 - Allocation scheme

Clause 6 confers functions on the NI electricity grid system operator in respect of determining the outcome of a Contracts for Difference allocation round and notifying the counterparty.  The clause also defines the content of the allocation scheme which is to be made by the Department in terms of conditions that are to met including: strike price, how competitive considerations are to be met, the setting of a targets as to how electricity is to be generated, generating capacity, the value of the Contracts for Difference Scheme and limits which are not to be exceeded. The allocation scheme can also impose duties or restrictions on the Department.
