Why your views matter

The Committee is carrying out an inquiry in relation to Regulation (EU) 2024/1849 amending Regulation (EU) 2017/852 on mercury as regards dental amalgam and other mercury-added products subject to export, import and manufacturing restrictions

On 19 July, the European Commission published a notice regarding this act: Commission Notice – Application of Regulation (EU) 2024/1849 of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU) 2017/852 on mercury as regards dental amalgam and other mercury-added products subject to export, import and manufacturing restrictions to and in the United Kingdom in respect of Northern Ireland

The Committee is seeking your views on three key questions and wants to hear from representatives of business and civil society affected by the EU act, or would be so affected if the act enters into force.

It is open to any organisation or individual to respond.

What happens next

The Committee will publish its inquiry report by 16 August 2024, which will include all evidence gathered in the course of its inquiry.
