Clause 24: Consent for Prosecution in cases of conspiracy to commit offence outside Northern Ireland
Clause 24 amends existing legislation relating to conspiracy to commit offences outside Northern Ireland to require the consent of the Advocate General for Northern Ireland to start criminal proceedings in Northern Ireland for offences committed outside Northern Ireland.

24. In Article 12 of the Criminal Attempts and Conspiracy (Northern Ireland) Order 1983 (restrictions on the institution of proceedings for conspiracy), in paragraph (5)—
(a) for “Article 9” substitute “Article 9A”;
(b) for “Attorney General for Northern Ireland” substitute “Advocate General for Northern Ireland”.
